Trust Secretary (HRCH)

My experience

I have been the Trust Secretary at HRCH since 2019. I started at HRCH in 2008 as a PA and I have worked in many other roles across the trust, including as an administrator, team leader and business manager.

This diverse portfolio has given me the opportunity to work in many services and with many different colleagues, including at the Hounslow Urgent Treatment Centre.

This gave me a greater understanding of the patient journey and the importance of collaboration to help enable patients to receive joined-up care.

Thoughts on the new role

Working closely with our partners at Kingston Hospital is very exciting. It will enable both trusts to further enhance the delivery of patient care and patient outcomes.

Collaboration will remove barriers and help us to improve the design of the patient journey from beginning to end, allowing us to build on and enhance the great work that has taken place over the pandemic.

Joint working will also allow us to streamline our governance systems and on a personal note, it will also give me the opportunity to learn more about Foundation Trust governance and the role of the Council of Governors in service provision.

Something about me

I am a mother and grandmother who enjoys spending time with my family. I like visiting National Trust houses, and an ideal afternoon for me would be riding the scenic route to get there on my motorcycle, having a look around the house and gardens, followed by tea and cake and then riding home again.
